Dear Dancers,

This morning I found myself walking live on TikTok with #WeeWalk, sharing the beautiful daffodil fields around Brodie Castle, an area known for its stunning variety of blooms and, of course, its famous beech tree. It was a joy to spot families of ducks by the pond, and I’m hoping to return soon to catch a glimpse of the swans and their new babies, as a regular visitor told me they’ve recently arrived.

The Alice in Wonderland themed play gardens nearby are always a delight too, especially the large bunny rabbit that so many people love to visit. I hope your weekend was great and you are feeling the spring inside?

Back at The Centrepiece, Session 58 was a lovely meeting.

There was wonderful music, joyful dancing, and such a lovely feeling of connection. It meant a lot to see everyone gathered together, sharing in that sense of spring awakening.

Dancing with all the presenters and welcoming in this new season of light and life felt very meaningful.

While walking the daffodil trail today, I came across a poem that felt especially fitting to share with you…

This poem felt so fitting, reminding us how moments of beauty, music, and togetherness can stay with us long after the dance ends.

  Daffodils
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:

Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:

I gazed and gazed, but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

It’s encouraging to feel the sun beginning to greet us more often here in Scotland.

Spring is arriving, and with it comes renewed energy, time, perhaps, to dust off the kilt and get ready for our upcoming, The Centrepiece Ceilidh with Pathways and FACT. We’re looking forward to a wonderful evening together, raising support for the Town Hall and The Centrepiece.

In other news, we’re delighted to share an upcoming workshop, The Wisdom of Yeshua with Jilani Prescott, a truly inspiring universal dance teacher.

Booking is now open, and we warmly invite you to join us.

We’ve also updated the events page, do have a look and see what’s coming up.

Wishing you a beautiful April, filled with light, movement, and plenty of dancing.

With warm hugs from Scotland,
Brant
