Dear Dancers,

I hope this message finds you well and that you’re enjoying the gentle buildup to the holiday season. What a beautiful year it has been for The Centrepiece sessions online community.

Together, we’ve shared so many meaningful moments & new dances, inspiring presenters, thoughtful talks, and the joy of in-person dancing.

Some of the highlights this year included Laura Shannon’s exquisite selection of traditional dances and new to “The Centrepiece” the Popular “Seated Serenade”. How wonderful it was to experience live dances from the Universal Hall during this year’s festival, a truly heartwarming blend of songs from talented choreographers and cherished traditional dances.  I have edited the video now and it is availible below to watch during your holidays! I hope you enjoy.

Last weekend we had Gabriele Wosien talking about dancing in Findhorn and other subjects. We have also been lucky enough to have Friedel Kloke Eibl talk on our 50th Birthday. With such inspiring things happening it’s just as well we have the App online to bring us all together, why not list your event on our App and make it easy for people to find your sessions. I have also added some nice photos as a reminder of our time this year.

Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement for next year’s first Centrepiece session, which will embrace the theme “Spirit of the Highlands”  Together, we’ll toast the new year around the Centrepiece, welcoming 2025 with open hearts, shared laughter, and the warmth of our community. It will be a beautiful way to begin another year of discovery, connection, and dance.

On a personal note, this year has been a deeply enriching one for me. I’ve immersed myself in Friedel and Saskia’s Kloke dances and completed my training. Many of you have asked about my thesis, “Healing Through Trauma with the Babajaga”, and I’m happy to share that it’s now available on the website here.

I’m also excited to announce an new in person workshop in progress…

Healing Through Trauma with Babajaga. Are you ready to take Babajaga’s challenge and discover your own light within the forest? Our friend Vasilisa is here to guide you, offering a steady hand as you embark on your healing journey. Along the way, so much will unfold! – watch this space for more details, if you would like to experiance this workshop connect with me as it will be in person.

As I reflect on this year, I feel immense gratitude for each of you and for the magic we create together. Thank you for being part of this journey and for sharing in the beauty of dance and community.

Celtic Blessing – for you

May you have
Walls for the wind
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks bedside the fire
Laughter to cheer you
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire

I want to take a moment to wish you all a very peaceful Christmas and a joyful start to the new year, 2025.

I am so grateful for the connections we’ve built and the dances we’ve shared.

With love from Scotland,

Brant
