Welcome to

24th August seated serenade 2025@ 18:30pm  UK TIME

Dear Dancers,

It’s been a busy and joyful few weeks here in Scotland and Germany, with the sunshine making a large appearance. Its also been stormy in the highlands, which I missed, but have seen trees which have been uprooted around the area (quite a sight) and witnessed a very nice group of people cleaning the community from all the chaos which the storm brought with it.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of dancing on the green with some wonderful guests, at our usual Findhorn Sacred Dance Saturday session it was such a delight. On Sunday we welcomed our experience group “Flavours of Findhorn retreat” here at the park ecovillage community, a truly delightful gathering. How lucky we are to share these moments of circle dancing together especially when its peoples’ first time dancing how special! it was a hot morning on the green! I introduced Bernhard wosiens dances to the new dancers.

Sunday afternoon was also very special as a small but familiar group joined me, including Amanda Huttl, her mother, and sisters. It was such a treat to walk, talk, catch up and welcome my co-host back in the UK. We even took a stroll through the community, catching up! thank to her Mother for the lovely gifts!

At the time of writing, I’m reflecting on an incredible trip earlier this month to Germany for Friedel and Saskia’s Summer Week, a magical week of dancing! I met Pablo Scoring and Sergio Malqui. What a pleasure to dance with them for the first time. Reconnected with familiar faces, and even managed a visit to the Bad Herrenalb Klosterfest for local music and dance. Friedels Musician Friend Uli Führe gave a concert on the summer week and it was splended his talent is amazing! – see image below

Revisiting Friedel and Saskia’s dances reminded me how important it is to return to them again and again, letting them settle deeply into the body. It was a joy from start to finish, so much so I never got many images lol…but there is a video from Friedel coming soon! such great dances.

As we soak up the summer sunshine and enjoy outdoor dancing, I’m also looking forward to moving indoors for The Daily Antidote, a fantastic ongoing offering by Kathy Bullock and friends that began during COVID and has never stopped, just like us here at The Centrepiece. They’ve invited me to teach a song and dance, which is very exciting! you are invited too…

Friday 22 August – The Daily Antidote (Zoom link details you can get here)
Saturday 24 August – Seated Serenade with the lovely Anne Crowe and Eliena Paracida Galvão,  bring a seat and join us for an uplifting session.

I’m also looking ahead to our Harvest Session here at The Centrepiece, plus a special local session with the wonderful Dee and Newal. You can find details on the events page link below. Presenters list is online now here.

I look forward to dancing with you all very soon!

With hugs from Scotland,

Brant
