Dear Dancers,
I hope this finds you very well and peaceful as world peace day approaches! I am currently thinking which dances will be in my sessions…
Our community has so many beautiful peace dances.
The weather here in Scotland is gently shifting, but the sun is still blessing us as we move towards autumn. With the seasonal change comes our transition indoors, back into the Universal Hall. I always love this shift, it feels like the rhythm of nature guiding us to gather more closely as a community.
As we step inside, our Centrepiece gatherings will continue to be a place to connect, share, and be inspired. We have some fantastic presenters and new offerings lined up!
On a personal note, life has also been full of change. Emma and I are in the process of moving home, which means our next Centrepiece will be Live from the Sunshine room in community. Our new home will be closer to our dear friend Kunie, which feels good. Between moving, editing videos, working and staying connected with community life, things have been a little busy for me, but all in the spirit of positive transition.
These changes also mean I’ll be staying in Scotland until the new year, when I’ll finally travel to Germany & Ireland again to be with Friedel and Saskia again. I can’t wait! In the meantime, I’ll be visiting Edinburgh to dance with my friends Katie and Kate, something I’m really looking forward to in November.
This past month has been full of wonderful moments. I was invited to Kathy Bullock’s and team “Antidote of Song” sessions, even managing to lead a song (despite having a cold!) and taught a seated dance. Kathy and her team have been singing a song a day since the beginning of Covid, what an inspiration! – See video below…
I also had the pleasure of being part of the Ecopia Enterprise Fair, where we shared about The Centrepiece, WeeMan Ceilidh, Findhorn Sacred Dance, and our vibrant dance traditions. Leading a session of Ceilidh with Barbara and a circle dance session. It was heartwarming to see enthusiasm for our community’s rich history.
Event News
The next Centrepiece is on 27th September with a wonderful line up of presenters, including a great Georgian dance teacher who will be joining us for the first time. He’s a fantastic teacher and a great person, I’m excited for you to meet him!
Barbara Swetina and I are also launching a special new project together, blending dance and music training. Our first session will take place in November, and we’ll share more details during the next Centrepiece.
As the winter months come in why not join us in community with “Crossing the Threshold” as we step into 2026 always a joyful event with Barbara and Friends see here to book now.
I’m so looking forward to everything ahead and to being with you all again soon.
With love and hugs from Scotland,
Brant
PS : As we continue to share dancing and music together, we’d love your help with one practical need – covering the cost of our music licence (Due soon) for Centrepiece online and Zoom. Your donations will keep the music alive and the sessions running smoothly. donate here
