Welcome to
The Centrepiece
Next Main Session – Saturday 28th March 2026
@ 19:30pm UK TIME

Dear Dancer,
This morning I’ve been spending some gentle time making music. My piano chords are improving little by little, and although I still consider myself very much a beginner, I’ve been enjoying the relaxation that comes from simply playing my instruments. It reminds me that music isn’t really about where we are on the journey, it’s about the joy of being in it.
These days our world can feel quite chaotic, both politically and spiritually. It’s easy to be pulled into frustration or anger. Instead, I’ve been taking some time to breathe, to connect with stillness, and to listen. This morning I found myself enjoying some beautiful sounds from Africa, relaxed, spacious music that feels grounding and inspiring. I’ll share some of these with you below.
Music continues to help me connect in so many ways, just as the dance does. There has been plenty of dancing lately, and I’ve been very fortunate to be teaching with several local groups. This month I visited a new group in Lossiemouth, which was particularly sweet and inspiring. I am always moved by people who create spaces that are inclusive and friendly, these environments so often become places of healing and transformation.
It has also been wonderful meeting new people and hearing the stories they share. For me, these encounters feel like a gift from the Beloved.

Other News
I’m happy to share that I’ve been invited to take part in the Sunflow Festival in Portugal this October, where at last I’ll get to dance with Stephan Freedman along with many other presenters that I’m really looking forward to meeting and sharing the dance with. There are also several other events coming up which you’ll find listed below. I’d especially recommend Jilani Prescott, a wonderful spiritual friend and musician who teaches the Dance of Universal Peace. Her events are always deeply nourishing.
I’m so looking forward to dancing with those of you who have written to me recently, and I hope we will share the dance together soon. You are always very welcome to come and dance around The Centrepiece.
With warm hugs from Scotland.
