Dear Dancers,
Last night, we traveled along the rivers and discovered a deep connection together. I hope you all found some solace in the healing sounds of the water and the dances.
It was great to be with the wonderful presenters dancing and hearing their music and thoughts, I’ve added the names of the dances with links to presenters below.
As time was limited last night, I wanted to share some thoughts about water and rivers, which I find to be a powerful force for cleansing and bringing balance and harmony to myself and the world around me.
I don’t usually go so deep, but let me start by telling you about my work with water as a connection with the beloved.
I regularly take a self-made tour called “Walking with the Beloved,” which is my way of connecting with the waterways. It involves walking with an ear to the river, listening deeply, and breathing to hear the sounds very, very deeply. For example, the part of the river with fast water represents a dynamic interaction with life’s challenges. Spiritually, it symbolises the active process of overcoming obstacles and cleansing oneself of impurities. Each challenge brings growth and purification. I would love to tell you more about this process and the dances I incorporate, such as Hora la Galana, which I have used frequently along the river.
I am planning on taking people on a walk, which involves listening to each spot in the river from different angles, hearing the difference in sounds, and deeply realising the connections to yourself, your surroundings, and the beloved. It truly is a special experience, and I’d like to offer you the chance to come and experience it sometime. If you are interested, please drop me a message, and we can connect. I will organise for you to deeply connect with our local Scottish rivers. Where we can dance together, connect with the rivers that are very dear to me and serve as a personal spiritual place.
The Next Centrepiece – Live from Universal Hall
I am also excited about the upcoming Findhorn Sacred Dance Festival and “The Centrepiece” which will be live from Universal Hall. We will feature the World Circle Dance Day dances and much more with a special announcement! Don’t miss out, as this is shaping up to be the highlight of the year! The Zoom code will be coming through the usual newsletter route, but please donate to help us run the night.
Before then, next Sunday, we are doing “Seated Serenade” which is going to be amazing. We have lots of dances that can help your sessions be inclusive of people with limited mobility, which is a great thing to have in your repertoire! So come along by donation (all proceeds go to running the Centrepiece).

I cannot wait to dance with you again next week. For now, have a great week.
With warm hugs from Scotland,
Brant
